26th of February - 29th of March. Tegnerforbundet, Oslo, Norway.
I'm not sure, but it feels like this winter has been extra dark. The top photo is as light as it gets in my studio from the daylight. So those rare days with sunshine are treasures. Everyone you meet talk about the sun and all town wants to be outside. And I even had to photograph it, that tells you something :-).
Every year I try to donate, to different causes, by working for free or give something for an auction. Last year none of this happened. Maybe I was just to occupied to see the opportunity, I'm not sure. Therefore I wanted to put this work of mine out here for some kind of auction. I'm not sure yet where the money will go, but it points towards something that has to do with the homeless people's situation.

Home has been on my agenda lately. I've been kind of lost, floating in space without a home in the way I was used to.
I've left the person and the apartment that I called home. This made me "homeless". That was hard but it also gave me a strange feeling of freedom. I could live where ever I chose.
I think home is a space not a place - a space where no one should enter without your permission. A space where you could feel relatively secure. Maybe it can be an object, but in that case the object makes a space, in your mind, a space where you feel at ease.
Home means a lot to me, it has always done, but maybe in a different way now. I am my home. All I really need could fit in a suitcase or two.
At the moment I am working on "Memoire no 1", right now this is my home."

It was a long time since I worked with printmaking. It feels like totally new and it is always so much fun to do something new, something that surprises me. Something that I don't know the outcome of. Just started here, but I am intrigued.

The cups are cast in a white high fired stoneware clay, glazed in a matte silky soft white glaze and decorated with screen printd ceramic decals. The cups can be washed in the dishwasher and microwaved. Delivered in a hand crafted box from Norrmalms Kartongfabrik. Produced in Sweden and the UK.
Size: height 80 mm (3.1 inches) dia 65 mm (2.6 inches). A cup holds approximately 2,5 dl (0.6 lbs) of liquid.
please note the cups are made by hand and small differences in size or surface may occur.
We also started a joint website now, not much on it yet but still... www.karincamilla.com
When Karin and I realized that our friendship, this fall celebrates ten years, we thought something special was needed to mark the anniversary. So we created a set of cups in our own specialities - My illustrations paired with Karins ceramics. Making a set of cups feels like the ultimate way to celebrate our friendship and collaboration.
Everything will be ready and available this Sunday in manos webshop. We'll keep you posted!
